Jackie & Pat were friendly, compassionate, kind, and professional from start to finish. They handled everything with the sensitivity and ease needed in the difficult area of death. The day we had to come and sign off on documents, select caskets, prayers cards and complete everything for our wife/mother was very difficult. But we never felt rushed, prodded, or like it was business as usual. All the logistical items were clear, and they took the time to explain everything in detail. They definitely took our feelings and emotions seriously and that was very much appreciated. Jackie also created a beautiful video tribute, with a great music selection. Forsthye Gould Funeral Home showed great respect and care throughout. They delivered all the flowers to our home after the funeral which was a huge help. When we recently called and requested more thank you cards, Jackie was very quick to respond. No hoops to jump through, or multiple calls to make. We highly recommend them. While somewhat belated, I am writing this to document our wonderful experience with the folks at Forsythe Gould. The care, compassion and professional support they provided at a difficult time was nothing short of exemplary. We had a fairly unusual situation, holding simultaneous services for both of our parent's along with coordination of a full military burial at Lincoln National Cemetery. Jackie was absolutely amazing at handling all the details and Pat couldn't have been more poised at delivering poignant thoughts while choregraphing the various speakers during service itself. This team is VERY knowledgeable with regard to the Lincoln National Cemetery processes, etc. Everything went more than smoothly...it was beautiful! I can whole heartedly recommend these folks. I never write a review or testimonial. But with the quality service and professionalism, my family and I received from the staff at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, I just had to write something. My father passed away on 3-18-22, and we found Forsythe Gould on the net. Called and received a return call within 15 min. After only a few minutes on the phone with Jackie, I knew my family had made the right choice. Jackie and her staff (Nick and Sarah) were an absolute blessing to work with. Their support was fabulous, really made the process less painful and stressful. I highly recommend Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. God Bless

My son-in-law Bill, attended a wake and funeral at Forsythe-Gould Funeral Home, in Manhattan, Illinois, for a member of his family. He was very impressed with them. Sadly, when the love of his life and my precious daughter, Gerri, passed away in June (2021) of Covid, he knew exactly who he wanted to take care of all the arrangements for Gerri’s wake and funeral. Wow! He couldn’t have made a better choice! All the Directors and Staff are so sincere and caring. Naturally, it was a very stressful time for us. Jackie put us all (Bill, myself and my 5 granddaughters who just lost their mom) at ease. Jackie was so honest, thoughtful and concerned. She could have been a member of our family. She even cried with us! She spent so much time with us. She made wonderful suggestions and helped us obtain the picture and wording we wanted for the memorial card. Jackie and the staff made sure every detail we wanted was done. I mean it! Gerri’s make up and hair was perfect! Her staff even made the clothing we chose, look great after they altered it beautifully. And now, 3 months after the funeral, we needed information and some help with our requests. I talked to Jackie one day, and the next day she sent everything we needed! I will continue to recommend FORSYTHE-GOULD FUNERAL HOME to everyone.
